As we search for the all-illusive “balance” of life, it can prove to be difficult to find just the right answer. Work, marriage, children, self-care, relationships, finances- the list goes on and on. Add in an ever-changing world and society and it can often feel all-consuming. Transitional moments in our lives can dwell on our hearts and create a world of stress.
At Premier Counseling and Wellness, we like to see our office as a space to lay this stress down and look at how it can be managed. Therapy takes times, energy, and oftentimes tears. It can be much easier to ignore the stress than address it. Our approach to stress management starts with you. Where do you feel you are at in your life’s journey? What does stress look like for you? Amongst others, we use a Narrative approach to therapy when exploring your story and how you approach stress management. When we begin to take a broad look at our lifelong patterns, it can be divided into chapters. Some have already been written-filled with love, pain, hope and struggles. We believe that each individual is the author of their own stories and will equip clients with new skills to continue to navigate their unique life’s journey.
